Before you start
Three quick things
- A ChatGPT or Claude account on a plan that supports custom connectors (ChatGPT: Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise; Claude: Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise).
Not sure which plan you have?
Not sure which plan you have? Open Settings and look at the top of the menu — your plan name is shown next to your email address.
- Your eXp login details (you'll sign in once during setup).
- A computer is easiest. Set up on the website version, not the phone app.

Open Settings → Plugins
In ChatGPT, click your name in the bottom-left corner, choose Settings, then click Plugins.
Can't find it?
Don't see your name? Click the sidebar icon in the top-left to open the menu first.

On the Plugins page, click Developer mode and switch it ON. This lets you add eXp as a custom plugin. It's safe and you can turn it off anytime.
Can't find it?
On Business or Enterprise accounts, your workspace admin may need to switch this on for you.

Create a custom plugin
Click Create to add a new plugin.

Name it eXp MCP, then paste this link into the MCP endpoint URL box:

A window will open asking you to sign in to eXp. Use your normal eXp login and click Allow. This gives ChatGPT secure access to your eXp tools.

Click Scan Tools, wait a few seconds, then click Create.

Open a new chat, click the + button (or type @) and choose eXp MCP. Then just ask, for example “Show me my active listings.”

Works on claude.ai in your web browser.

In Claude, click your name in the bottom-left corner, choose Settings, then click Connectors.

Click Add custom connector (you may need to click + first).

If you only see “Add from catalog”, scroll down inside the little menu — the custom option sits underneath.

In any Claude chat, click the + button, go to Connectors, and switch eXp MCP ON. Then ask, for example “Show me my active listings.”

Check your plan — custom connectors usually need a paid plan. Also make sure you're on the website (chatgpt.com or claude.ai) in a browser, not the phone app.
